The interim financing was oversubscribed with participation from private investors, family offices, and venture capital across the UK, Norway, and the European Union.

NORWAY – Aquaculture technology company WellFish Tech has completed an oversubscribed interim financing round as it expands commercial deployment of its predictive fish health monitoring technology across key aquaculture markets.
The funding follows new agreements with aquaculture companies in Norway and Iceland, alongside ongoing collaborations in North America, South America, the UK and Ireland.
WellFish Tech’s platform uses physiological biomarkers to monitor fish health and identify potential problems before they lead to significant production losses.
Its WellFish Predict technology can provide mortality risk predictions up to 28 days in advance.
“The response from investors reflects what we are hearing from customers,” said Erik Tveteraas, group finance director at WellFish Tech.
“The ability to see what is coming 28 days out changes the business, and investors understand what that precision is worth commercially.”
The company said demand for physiological data is increasing as producers seek earlier warning of health problems and more informed production decisions.
Expanding fish health applications
Investor participation came from Norway, the UK and the European Union, including venture capital, family offices and private investment networks.
The investors’ identities were not disclosed.
Tveteraas said investor interest also reflects WellFish Tech’s broader intellectual property and product pipeline, which aims to apply physiological biomarkers to fish health, welfare and quality assessment.
The company is continuing to develop applications beyond its mortality prediction model as aquaculture producers face pressure to improve fish welfare, reduce mortality and strengthen production efficiency.
WellFish Tech said the latest financing strengthens its position as it expands commercially and prepares for a Series A financing round in 2027.
