For some nutrients, such as biotin, China currently produces 100% of the global supply, leaving the United States with no immediate fallback sources.

This launch follows a series of breakthroughs in FAMSUN’S high-end pet food processing offerings, unveiled at PET FAIR ASIA 2025 in Shanghai in August 2025.

The country’s emphasis on self-sufficiency has fuelled rapid output growth, supported by large-scale modernised operations and imported high-yield cattle.

The boost in animal feed shipments has come even as raw grain exports slowed due to China’s customs restrictions.

Since operations began in June 2025, Angel Zhufeng has established partnerships with more than 30 distributors for its novel probiotic formulations.

This launch follows another major investment by LDC in May 2025, when the company unveiled a new line for specialty feed lecithin at the same Tianjin complex. 

The new extruder also reduces start-up waste by up to 80% in the pre-conditioner, minimizing rework and material loss.

Officials hopes that the Jianzhou Big Ear goats could lay the groundwork for improved meat production, stronger rural livelihoods, and a more resilient livestock sector.

The laboratory will be operated jointly with the Food Laboratory of Zhongyuan, a leading provincial research and innovation organization.
