Insectum says investor interest will be essential as the company scales its patented technology across regions facing mounting waste and protein pressures.

Meanwhile, producers fear that a wave of duty-free imports could depress farmgate prices just as new-season barley and corn enter the domestic market. 

The company argues that krill ingredients are increasingly relevant as Ecuador adopts automatic feeding systems and intensifies production. 

Unusual biological conditions in Norway, including shifts in feeding patterns and salmon biomass development, negatively affected salmon feed demand.
