The transition of the fishmeal industry from land to sea represents a significant shift in the regional “blue economy” landscape, carrying profound fiscal and environmental implications.

With ADB backing, De Heus TMH now trains 2,000 farmers and processes 18,000 tonnes of raw materials monthly to boost Cambodia’s livestock feed supply.

The facility will turn Ghana’s organic waste into protein-rich feed and fertiliser, marking a first for Africa and a boost for sustainable agriculture.

The event will feature more than 300 international exhibitors from over 40 countries.

The mission focused on addressing feed safety, mycotoxin control and intestinal health challenges in livestock production.

The acquisition pairs Montego’s deep knowledge in pet nutrition with Marltons’ extensive experience in everyday pet care.

This investment represents a reliable source of protein-rich raw material, paving the way for more competitive and sustainable animal production in Burkina Faso.

“By combining our expertise with CJ Feed & Care, we can help farmers boost efficiency, professionalism, and profitability,” said De Heus.

The project aims to reduce meat imports, expand domestic production, and strengthen food security through strategic investment in ranches, grasslands, and rural livelihoods.
