India’s poultry sector set to shine at 17th Poultry India Expo 2025

The event is expected to draw more than 45,000 participants from 35 to 50 countries.

INDIA  – India’s poultry industry is gearing up for one of its most anticipated annual events as preparations intensify for the 17th edition of Poultry India Expo 2025, set to take place from November 26 to 28 at HITEX Exhibition Centre, Hitech City, Hyderabad.

The event will be preceded by Poultry Knowledge Day on November 25 at HICC Novotel.

The official curtain-raiser press meet, held in Hyderabad on 5th November, marked the formal announcement of the expo, widely regarded as South Asia’s largest platform for the poultry industry.

Organised by the Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA), the event is expected to draw more than 45,000 participants from 35 to 50 countries, with around 500 exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge products and technologies in poultry management, health, nutrition, breeding, feed manufacturing, and production.

IPEMA President Uday Singh Bayas said this year’s exhibition aims to demonstrate how India’s poultry sector continues to evolve in alignment with the nation’s development vision.

India’s poultry industry reflects the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and aligns with Viksit Bharat@2047, as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he told journalists.

Bayas added that promoting egg and chicken consumption could play a vital role in addressing undernutrition and underweight issues in rural India due to their rich protein content.

Showcasing innovation and global collaboration

The event will host delegations from various international ministries, including the Ugandan Ministry of Agriculture, who will study India’s advancements in poultry production.

The country’s rapid ascent as the world’s second-largest egg producer and fourth-largest chicken producer underscores the significance of such knowledge exchanges.

Among the key dignitaries at the press meet were representatives from major Indian poultry organisations, including the Telangana Poultry Federation, National Egg and Chicken Promotion Council, Venkateshwara Hatcheries, and Srinivasa Farms.

The meeting, presided over by Bayas alongside IPEMA founders Anil Dhumal and Chakradhar Rao, Treasurer M. Srikanth, and Secretary Natarajan, concluded on an optimistic note about India’s expanding role in the global poultry landscape.

Poultry India Expo serves as a one-stop hub for industry players to explore innovations, forge partnerships, and exchange expertise.

Exhibitors and participants will have access to a wealth of information on poultry feed technology, equipment, breeding systems, animal health, and nutrition. The exhibition will also feature live product demonstrations and interactive sessions with decision-makers from across the poultry value chain.

A platform for learning and progress

The highlight of the event, Poultry Knowledge Day, will bring together leading international experts to share insights on emerging challenges and opportunities in the sector.

The sessions will focus on themes such as feed efficiency, disease management, sustainability, and technological advancements.

Beyond its commercial appeal, the exhibition underscores the industry’s resilience amid mounting challenges, from fluctuating raw material prices and manure disposal issues to labour shortages and new disease threats.

The event will also spotlight how Indian innovation continues to drive global competitiveness, offering sustainable and scalable models for poultry production.
