VIV Africa opens registration for 2026 Kigali livestock and feed industry expo

RWANDA – Visitor registration has opened for VIV Africa 2026, with the organiser inviting livestock, feed and agribusiness professionals to secure free entry ahead of the exhibition scheduled for October 7 – 8, 2026, at the Kigali Convention Centre in Rwanda.

The event, organised by VNU Europe under the VIV Worldwide portfolio, will be preceded by a paid Leadership Conference on October 6, bringing together industry experts to discuss emerging trends and opportunities across Africa’s poultry, dairy and livestock sectors.

Now in its fifth edition, VIV Africa has evolved from the former Poultry Africa exhibition into a broader Feed-to-Food platform serving Sub-Saharan Africa’s animal protein industry.

The exhibition will cover the entire livestock value chain, featuring more than 150 exhibitors across feed ingredients and additives, feed and grain technology, farm production, animal health, and meat and dairy processing.

A dedicated Dairy Pavilion will also return, reflecting the show’s expanding focus beyond poultry into wider livestock production.

Organisers expect about 2,000 visitors from across Africa, including Rwanda, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, Ethiopia, South Africa, Cameroon and Sudan, alongside international participants.

“VIV Africa has become a meeting point where the region’s animal protein industry comes to make real decisions, not just window-shop,” said Natalie Taylor, Project Manager for VIV Africa.

“Sub-Saharan Africa is one of the fastest-growing markets for animal protein in the world, and the businesses that get this region right today will be the ones leading it tomorrow.”

According to Taylor, each edition has attracted more serious buyers, a stronger exhibitor base and increased business transactions, with the 2026 event expected to be the largest to date.

Alongside the exhibition, organisers have opened applications for the Hosted Buyer Programme, which targets senior purchasing decision-makers from across the animal protein value chain.

The programme offers scheduled business meetings, networking opportunities and tailored support for buyers planning procurement within the next 12 months.

The Leadership Conference will require a registration fee of US$140, while entry to the two-day exhibition remains free for registered visitors.

VIV Africa is expected to provide a platform for feed manufacturers, livestock producers, processors, equipment suppliers and animal health companies.

They’ll showcase new technologies and strengthen business partnerships as investment in Africa’s livestock and feed industries continues to grow.
