Innovation takes the stage at Vietstock 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City

The organisers provide that Vietnam is considered as one of the fastest growing and high potential Asian countries, as far as livestock numbers and feed production is concerned.

VIETNAM – From October 8 to 10, 2025, the capital of Vietnam’s economic life will host Vietstock Expo & Forum 2025, a leading three-day international trade exhibition for feed, livestock, animal health, and meat processing, set to attract more than 300 exhibitors and 13,000 visitors from more than 40 countries.

The event will occupy 13,000 m² at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC), a modern venue in District 7 specifically chosen for its suitability to large-scale livestock events.

Organised by Informa Markets with backing from key Vietnamese institutions, including the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Department of Livestock Production, and industry associations, the forum blends government insight with market innovation.

Driving industry-wide insights and innovation

At the heart of Vietstock 2025 is its technological showcase: smart farm systems tailored for Vietnam’s climate, systems for environmental control and waste treatment, digital farm management tools, and traceability solutions such as blockchain and QR systems.

The exhibition also features advances in animal feed, ranging from stage-specific formulations to alternative protein sources, as well as modern meat processing, including environmentally conscious slaughter lines, packaging systems, and diagnostic tools.

Participants will delve into pressing themes at a series of industry-focused sessions. Topics include biosecurity in tropical climates, greenhouse gas reduction, AI-powered farm and supply-chain monitoring, and species-specific challenges like African swine fever, poultry scaling, and tropical dairy and beef improvements.

Building connections that count

The exhibition leverages both visibility and precision: an AI-powered Match & Meet platform lets exhibitors pre-arrange meetings with qualified leads; meanwhile, the Vietstock Awards, co-hosted by the Department of Livestock Production and Veterinary, recognise outstanding enterprises in innovation, sustainability, and biosecurity.

Reflecting on past success, Mr Dominic Elfick, Marketing Director of Aviagen, said: “Vietstock brings together a remarkable concentration of livestock farmers, which is invaluable for understanding the needs of end-users actually implementing our products.”

Similarly, Kevin Huang, Assistant Vice President of Huali, commented: “This livestock exhibition provides an excellent platform for customer engagement. We’ve successfully connected with diverse clientele from throughout Southeast Asia…”

Context in a transforming market

Vietnam’s livestock industry is experiencing a period of robust growth. In 2023, the sector achieved a production value of about 495 trillion VND (approximately US$18.7 billion), up 5.2% year-on-year, while live meat production rose by 4.8% to 7.2 million tons, and exports grew 20% to US$1.5 billion.

With rising domestic demand, evolving trade agreements (such as EVFTA and CPTPP), and a shift toward sustainability and biosecurity, the industry faces both opportunity and challenge, particularly in consolidation, rising feed costs, and environmental pressures.
