VIV Select China and Pet Fair Asia launch first joint initiative in Shanghai

CHINA – VIV Select China and Pet Fair Asia will launch their first strategic collaboration in Shanghai this August, creating a cross-sector business platform that connects livestock production, animal health and the global pet industry.

The joint initiative will run alongside VIV Select China 2026, scheduled for August 19-21 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center (SWEEC), and the 28th Pet Fair Asia, taking place August 19-23 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.

Both events are organised by Globus Events.

The partnership will allow international buyers, manufacturers and industry professionals to explore business opportunities across the livestock, feed, animal health and pet care value chains during a single visit to Shanghai.

The collaboration combines VIV Worldwide’s more than four decades of expertise across the global feed-to-food supply chain with Pet Fair Asia’s position as one of the Asia-Pacific region’s leading pet industry exhibitions.

VIV Select China 2026 will feature more than 500 exhibitors across 50,000 square metres, showcasing solutions for poultry, waterfowl, swine and other livestock sectors. 

Exhibits will cover animal health, feed and feed additives, biosecurity, farm equipment and production technologies.

Meanwhile, Pet Fair Asia will occupy 320,000 square metres, including 17 exhibition halls, 10 supply chain halls and an outdoor exhibition area.

Organisers expect the event to attract more than 2,600 exhibitors and approximately 530,000 trade and public visitors.

Together, the two exhibitions aim to create an integrated sourcing platform that connects upstream production technologies and ingredients with downstream product innovation and consumer demand.

Linking livestock and pet nutrition

Animal health will be a key area of collaboration between the two events. 

Suppliers exhibiting at VIV Select China will present technologies covering disease prevention, vaccines, biosecurity, antibiotic-reduction strategies and animal nutrition, many of which have applications across both livestock and companion animal production.

Pet nutrition will also play a central role. 

Pet Fair Asia will showcase products ranging from staple diets and functional treats to veterinary diets and specialised nutrition, bringing together established brands, emerging companies and OEM manufacturers.

According to the organisers, the collaboration is expected to help livestock producers, feed manufacturers and ingredient suppliers identify new opportunities in raw material development, formulation, sourcing and production planning while strengthening connections across the value chain.

To encourage participation in both events, organisers will operate a complimentary shuttle service between the two venues on August 20 and 21. 

Frequent point-to-point services will connect SWEEC with the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, allowing visitors to move efficiently between exhibitions.

Current and previous VIV Select China visitors may also qualify for dedicated Pet Fair Asia trade visitor benefits, including access to professional visitor days on August 20 and 21, subject to advance registration and eligibility requirements.
