Automation has raised the factory’s daily production capacity from 5 tonnes to 50 tonnes, as the company aims to boost livestock productivity and farmers’ incomes.

EAST ASIA – Prime Minister Uchral Nyam-Osor visited the MIMO organic feed production factory in Baruunburen, Selenge aimag, where automation has increased its daily production capacity tenfold, from 5 tonnes to 50 tonnes.
The factory is operated by EIL BI H AGRO LLC, which entered agriculture in 2016 and expanded into mineral feed production in 2022 under the MIMO brand.
The company commissioned an automated concentrated feed production factory in 2025.
MIMO, short for Minii Mongol or “My Mongolia”, produces eight product types, including premixes, compound feeds, granulated feeds, and lick blocks. The factory operates under ISO 9001:2015 quality management and ISO 22000:2018 food safety management standards.
The company says its feed products are designed to improve livestock performance and reduce losses.
Management told the prime minister that their use could reduce non-productive livestock mortality by up to 90%, increase cashmere yield by 60% and milk production by 40%, and raise meat output by 200-300%.
The company presented these figures, but the information provided did not independently verify them.
The company’s business model extends beyond feed manufacturing. It aims to purchase livestock fattened using MIMO feeds at favourable prices, giving farmers an additional route to market while supplying consumers with quality meat.
Company representatives said investments in the feed could return three to five tugriks for every tugrik invested.
EIL BI H AGRO also operates in crop production, using crop rotation across 3,500 hectares. In 2026, the company planted wheat, fodder crops and sugar beet on 1,200 hectares, linking its agricultural activities with its livestock feed business.
The expansion comes as the company develops its role in Mongolia’s livestock value chain, connecting crop production, feed manufacturing and livestock marketing.
Its stated objective is to improve animal productivity while increasing returns for livestock breeders.
