Devenish Nutrition names Ryan Mortvedt Swine Director

U.S.A – Devenish Nutrition North America has strengthened its swine leadership team with the appointment of Ryan Mortvedt as Swine Director, reinforcing the company’s focus on expanding technical support and business growth across the North American pork sector.

Mortvedt joins the animal nutrition company with more than 20 years of experience in swine production, business development and sales leadership, having worked closely with producers, veterinarians and nutritionists to improve herd performance and profitability.

According to Devenish, Mortvedt has led large-scale swine production systems, spearheaded business transformation initiatives and developed strategic partnerships across the livestock value chain. 

His experience includes building high-performing teams and delivering nutrition and management solutions designed to improve operational efficiency and producer returns.

The appointment comes as swine nutrition companies increasingly expand their technical advisory capabilities to help producers navigate challenges including feed cost volatility, disease pressure, productivity improvements and sustainability targets. 

Strengthening technical leadership has become a key strategy for animal nutrition companies seeking to offer integrated support beyond feed products.

Devenish said Mortvedt is recognised for his focus on mentorship, coaching and fostering collaborative teams built around accountability and continuous improvement.

Based in central Iowa, Mortvedt and his family also operate a sheep and goat enterprise alongside their involvement in the livestock industry.
