The partnership combines Animistic’s evidence-based approach to animal health and nutrition with Blackhive’s global supply chain capabilities

USA – Animal nutrition company Animistic and supply chain specialist Blackhive have formed a strategic partnership to accelerate the development, sourcing, and commercialisation of animal health and nutrition products by combining scientific expertise with global supply chain capabilities.
The collaboration brings together Animistic’s research-driven approach to animal nutrition with Blackhive’s experience in procurement, logistics, warehousing and distribution.
The companies said the partnership is designed to create a more efficient pathway from product development to market launch, helping animal nutrition businesses scale more effectively while reducing operational complexity.
“Together, we are creating a streamlined pathway from research and development to commercialisation,” representatives from the two companies said in a joint statement.
“This partnership allows companies to access science-backed innovation while gaining the operational infrastructure needed to scale efficiently and sustainably.”
Combining science and supply chain expertise
Animistic, headquartered in Northwest Arkansas, supports companies across the animal health and nutrition sectors through product formulation, manufacturing coordination, research analytics, regulatory support and commercialisation services.
The company describes its business model as a combination of scientific rigour and industry collaboration aimed at improving animal health outcomes.
Blackhive contributes expertise in global sourcing, procurement, logistics and distribution.
The company helps businesses optimise supply chains, reduce procurement costs and improve product availability through strategic purchasing and integrated operations.
Under the partnership, customers will gain access to both scientific development capabilities and commercial supply chain support through a single collaborative framework.
The companies said the combined approach is intended to shorten development timelines while improving operational efficiency.
The partnership comes as the global animal nutrition industry continues to focus on innovation, sustainability and supply chain resilience.
Manufacturers increasingly face pressure to bring new products to market more quickly while maintaining cost competitiveness and regulatory compliance.
Animistic and Blackhive said their collaboration is designed to help address these challenges by integrating product development with sourcing and commercialisation strategies from the earliest stages of innovation.
The partnership will provide customers with science-based product development, nutritional expertise, sourcing and procurement support, logistics services, commercialisation planning and project management capabilities.
The companies also highlighted their shared roots in Northwest Arkansas, a region that has become increasingly recognised for innovation in agriculture, food production and supply chain management.
According to the announcement, combining local collaboration with global market access will enable both companies to deliver scalable solutions for domestic and international customers.
The firms said they aim to support sustainable growth across the animal nutrition and health sectors by helping companies improve efficiency, reduce supply chain friction and bring new technologies to market more effectively.
As demand for innovative feed, nutrition and animal health products continues to grow, the partnership reflects a broader industry trend toward closer integration between research, manufacturing and supply chain operations.
