Zoomark sets 2027 dates as organiser expands global footprint and year-round engagement

Organisers will unveil the first details of the 2027 edition during Interzoo 2026 in May.

ITALY – Zoomark will return to BolognaFiere from 11–13 May 2027, as organisers accelerate international expansion and introduce new year-round industry engagement initiatives.

The 22nd edition of the long-running pet industry trade fair comes as the global pet care market continues to evolve, with increasing emphasis on omnichannel retail, premiumisation and animal wellbeing.

Over more than two decades, Zoomark has developed into one of Europe’s key business platforms for pet food and pet care, bringing together manufacturers, distributors, buyers and service providers across the value chain.

Organisers are already building momentum toward the 2027 event. Early details will be unveiled during Interzoo 2026, where Zoomark will exhibit in Hall 1.

The upcoming edition is expected to build on the strong performance of recent years, which have seen growing international participation and broader sector representation.

It will retain formats that have proven effective while introducing new themes aligned with shifting market dynamics.

“Over the years, Zoomark has evolved far beyond the traditional concept of a trade fair, becoming a hub where innovation, market insights and international networking converge,” said Pascale Sonvico.

“The upcoming edition aims to continue this trajectory, combining continuity with fresh ideas and initiatives designed to create new opportunities for both exhibitors and visitors.”

Sonvico added that the event strategy is shaped by ongoing market analysis.

“Our strategy is strongly driven by the analysis of the key trends shaping the pet market, with the aim of anticipating industry developments and opening new avenues for growth for professionals across the sector,” she said.

To maintain industry dialogue between editions, organisers have introduced “Zoomark Days” for 2026, a programme of conferences, workshops and networking events.

The initiative is structured around two tracks. “Industry Insights” will target manufacturers and brands, while “Retail Labs” will focus on pet shop operators and retail professionals working directly with consumers.

The first Industry Insights event is scheduled for Milan on 15 April 2026, in collaboration with Ecommerce School, and will examine e-commerce and omnichannel strategies as companies adapt to changing consumer behaviour.

Retail Labs will take a roadshow format, with initial stops planned in Milan in July and Rome in September, followed by additional events in southern Italy later in the year.

International expansion

Zoomark is also strengthening its global footprint through new partnerships and overseas events.

A key development is the launch of “PetBridge powered by Zoomark,” a B2B exhibition designed to connect India’s pet care market with international players.

The first edition will be held in Mumbai on 25–26 November 2026 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, in collaboration with Inspira Bridge Events.

India’s pet care market, valued at about US$3.6 billion in 2024, is projected to exceed US$7 billion by 2030, driven by rising pet ownership, premium products and increased spending on animal health and nutrition.

In this context, PetBridge is positioned as a link between domestic companies and global suppliers.

With more than 20 editions completed and consistent international growth, Zoomark has established itself as a stable fixture in the global pet industry calendar.

The 2027 edition is expected to continue this trajectory, supported by expanded international activity and a shift toward continuous engagement rather than single-event interaction.
