Zoomark expands in Turkey with Petzoo Eurasia partnership

Companies are expanding a 2025 partnership ahead of a new Turkey-based pet industry exhibition set to debut in 2028.

TURKEY – Zoomark has expanded its partnership with Petzoo Eurasia and exhibition organiser Ulusal Fuarcilik to launch a new international pet industry exhibition in Turkey in 2028, strengthening market access for pet food and pet care businesses targeting Europe, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

The initiative builds on a cooperation agreement signed in 2025 and forms part of BolognaFiere Group’s international growth strategy to establish new exhibition platforms in high-potential markets.

Under the expanded agreement, BolognaFiere, through Zoomark and Cosmoprof SpA, will work with Turkey-based Ulusal Fuarcilik to develop the new exhibition, while Zoomark will support Petzoo Eurasia’s international marketing and sales activities during the 2026 and 2027 editions of the event ahead of the 2028 launch.

The partners said the collaboration is designed to create stronger commercial links for exhibitors, buyers and industry professionals across the global pet sector, particularly those seeking opportunities in the rapidly expanding MENA market.

“The development of international exhibition platforms is a key pillar of BolognaFiere Group’s growth strategy,” said Gianpiero Calzolari, President of BolognaFiere.

“The strengthening of our cooperation with Ulusal Fuarcilik and Petzoo Eurasia reflects our commitment to investing in high-potential markets and building bridges between industries and communities,” he said.

“This new project will represent an important step in our internationalisation journey and further reinforce our role as a global connector for the pet industry.”

Turkey has become an increasingly attractive gateway for companies looking to expand across Europe, Asia and the Middle East due to its strategic location and growing pet care market.

“We are proud to deepen our relationship with Zoomark and to embark on this new chapter together,” said Selçuk Çetin, CEO of Ulusal Fuarcilik and General Manager of Petzoo Eurasia.

“The collaboration has already generated significant interest from international stakeholders and has confirmed the strategic importance of Turkey as a meeting point between Europe, Asia and the Middle East,” Çetin added.

According to Luisa Bersanetti, Exhibition Manager of Zoomark, the partnership responds to growing international demand for access to Turkey and neighbouring markets.

“Over the past years, we have witnessed strong interest from companies looking to expand their presence in Turkey and the wider MENA region,” Bersanetti said.

“By intensifying our support through international marketing and sales activities over the next two editions, we are laying the foundations for a more international and interconnected platform.”

The announcement comes as international pet industry exhibitions continue to play a larger role in connecting manufacturers, distributors and retailers with emerging markets.
