Indo Livestock 2026 showcases feed innovation and investment in Indonesia

INDONESIA – More than 20,000 livestock and feed industry professionals converged in Tangerang, Indonesia, for the Indo Livestock 2026 Expo & Forum, where feed technology suppliers, animal nutrition companies, and equipment manufacturers showcased innovations aimed at improving feed production, livestock productivity, and sustainable protein production.

Held from June 16-18 at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE PIK 2), the event attracted 20,380 visitors and featured 600 exhibitors from 30 countries across 20,800 square metres of exhibition space.

Organised under the theme “Accelerating Integrated Livestock Downstreaming: Strengthening Investment for National Protein Self-Sufficiency,” the exhibition brought together the Indo Feed, Indo Dairy, Indo Agrotech, Indo Vet and Indo Fisheries expos. 

The event was hosted by Indonesia’s Ministry of Agriculture with support from government agencies, industry associations and academic institutions.

Feed manufacturers and suppliers were among the largest exhibitors, presenting technologies spanning feed ingredients, additives, feed milling equipment, grain handling systems, laboratory solutions, and animal nutrition products.

Major international companies, including Andritz Feed & Biofuel, Cargill, Charoen Pokphand Indonesia, Famsun, EW Nutrition, Elanco, Evonik, Olmix, ADM Protexin and Angel Yeast, showcased innovations designed to improve feed efficiency, ingredient utilisation and animal performance while supporting more sustainable livestock production.

Technical sessions focus on feed, livestock and sustainability

The exhibition was complemented by a series of conferences addressing key challenges facing Indonesia’s livestock sector.

A livestock seminar organised by the Ministry of Agriculture examined how downstream investment can strengthen the country’s livestock industry and support national economic growth. 

Other sessions explored balanced nutrition, antimicrobial resistance, fisheries competitiveness and youth participation in agriculture through the “From Farm to Fame” programme.

Innovation also remained a key focus throughout the event. 

The Indonesian Livestock Innovation Awards recognised achievements in livestock-based food innovation, agricultural food products, food processing and social impact.

Exhibitors were also recognised for outstanding booth presentations and exhibition performance, with PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia, PT Cargill Indonesia and PT Ceva Animal Health among the award recipients.

The strong international participation highlighted Southeast Asia’s growing importance as a livestock and feed production hub. 

Companies from Europe, North America, Asia and Australia presented technologies ranging from precision feeding systems and digital livestock management platforms to feed processing equipment and animal health solutions.

By bringing together feed manufacturers, livestock producers, technology providers, policymakers and investors, Indo Livestock 2026 reinforced its position as one of Asia’s leading trade platforms for advancing feed innovation, investment and collaboration while supporting Indonesia’s goal of achieving greater protein self-sufficiency.
