Chemlock Nutrition launches 100% L-selenomethionine selenium supplement for livestock

U.S.A. – Chemlock Nutrition has expanded its animal nutrition portfolio with the launch of Nutrilock® SelenoSure™, a selenium supplement the company says is the first U.S.-researched product guaranteed to contain 100% L-selenomethionine, enabling more consistent selenium supplementation across livestock species.

The U.S.A.-Based developer of feed technologies for production agriculture said the product delivers selenium in its bioactive form, allowing animals to absorb and store it directly without requiring biological conversion. 

The launch targets livestock producers seeking more predictable selenium nutrition to support animal health, reproduction and productivity.

Unlike selenium yeast, whose L-selenomethionine content can vary between batches, and selenium analogues that require conversion before use, Nutrilock® SelenoSure™ provides a consistent source of pure L-selenomethionine, according to Chemlock Nutrition.

The product is suitable for use in dairy and beef cattle, layers, breeders, broilers, turkeys and swine, reflecting growing demand for precision mineral nutrition across commercial livestock production.
