The Petshop launches integrated pet care “Super App” in UAE

Dubai retailer folds shopping, bookings and pet records into one mobile hub that features reminders, personalisation, and more.

UAE – UAE’s leading specialist pet retailer, The Petshop, has launched a new “Super App” that combines pet shopping, service bookings and digital pet records into a single platform, positioning it as the first fully integrated pet care app of its kind in the United Arab Emirates.

The app connects the retailer’s physical stores, e-commerce business, and pet care services into a single digital system, allowing customers to manage multiple aspects of pet ownership through a single account.

Each pet receives a dedicated digital profile containing information such as age, diet preferences, medical history and behavioural traits, enabling more personalised service recommendations and reminders.

The company said the platform is designed to reduce the need for customers to repeatedly share information across different service channels while improving continuity of care for pets.

“Over the past fifteen years, we’ve grown alongside the pet community in the UAE and seen how pet ownership has evolved,” said Amr Hazem Youssef.

“For pet families, care now depends on continuity, accurate information, and services that match real life, not isolated transactions. This app brings those elements into one place with a structure that supports reliable care,” he added.

UAE pet care market drives digital innovation

The app allows users to book grooming, boarding, relocation, aquatics, and wellness services through a unified interface, and provides access to shopping and account management tools.

Customers can check service availability, schedule appointments and view previous visits without switching between separate platforms or communication channels.

According to the company, the platform also incorporates additional safeguards for sensitive pet records and digital documentation.

“Pets have individual needs that change over time, and those needs shape daily decisions around routines, health, and wellbeing,” Youssef said.

“By keeping information organised and connecting services within one system, we can reduce friction for pet families and deliver greater consistency across the experience.”

Founded in 2011, The Petshop operates 11 outlets across the UAE, including megastores in Dubai Investment Park and Al Reem Island, as well as an online catalogue offering more than 12,000 products.

The launch reflects broader growth in the Gulf’s pet care sector, where rising pet ownership and increased spending on premium pet products and services are driving investment in digital platforms, veterinary care and specialised retail formats.

Retailers across the region are increasingly adopting integrated technology systems to improve customer engagement, streamline services and strengthen recurring revenue streams in the expanding pet economy.
