Skretting Vietnam launches Jade+ shrimp feed solution

Jade+ is positioned as a feed product and a broader system designed to support shrimp from early-stage development through to harvest.

VIETNAM – Skretting Vietnam has launched its new Jade+ shrimp nutrition solution in Ben Tre, as the company pushes a more integrated approach to improving shrimp performance under increasingly complex farming conditions.

The launch event brought together customers, partners and industry stakeholders, reflecting rising demand for solutions that can deliver consistent growth, better resilience and improved efficiency in shrimp production systems.

Senior leadership from Nutreco, Skretting’s parent company, attended the event, alongside technical experts and partners across the value chain.

The seminar was organised in collaboration with ShrimpTech Vietnam, with contributions from Hendrix Genetics and Rynan Technologies Vietnam, and highlighted the roles of genetics, technology, and health management alongside feed.

Jade+ is positioned not only as a feed product but as part of a broader system designed to support shrimp from early-stage development through to harvest.

The approach integrates nutrition, health and farm management to help producers manage disease risks, improve feed efficiency and stabilise production outcomes.

The launch comes at a time when shrimp farmers globally are facing mounting pressures from disease outbreaks, fluctuating water quality and rising input costs.

Within this context, feed companies are increasingly shifting from single-product solutions to more comprehensive production models that combine multiple performance drivers.

Skretting said the Jade+ concept is built around improving resilience and delivering reliable results in real farm conditions, enabling farmers to gain greater control over production while reducing variability and long-term risk.

Building integrated solutions across the shrimp value chain

The Jade+ launch builds on a series of recent initiatives by Skretting Vietnam to strengthen sustainability and innovation in aquaculture.

Earlier in 2026, the company advanced its ShrimpTech Vietnam programme, which focuses on value chain collaboration to support the transition toward a net-zero shrimp industry.

The initiative brings together stakeholders across feed, farming, processing and technology to improve traceability, efficiency and environmental performance.

In 2025, Skretting Vietnam also introduced a premium feed range for pompano farmers and partnered with Entobel to launch its first commercial shrimp feed incorporating insect meal, reflecting a broader shift toward alternative protein sources in aquafeed.

These developments underline a wider industry trend in which feed is no longer viewed in isolation, but as part of an integrated system linking nutrition, genetics, health, and digital tools.

For shrimp producers, this shift is expected to play a critical role in improving productivity, managing risk and meeting evolving sustainability requirements across global seafood markets.
