Skretting Vietnam launches premium feed for pompano farmers

VIETNAM – Skretting Vietnam, a leading producer of feed for fish and shrimp, has launched STELLA P, a premium aquaculture feed specifically targeted to pompano farmers in the country’s central region. 

The specialised solution, introduced during recent farmer meetings, promises to help fish grow faster, reach market size earlier, and display a naturally vibrant color, offering both biological and economic advantages.

According to the company, STELLA P is more than standard feed. It delivers balanced nutrition enriched with vitamins and minerals that support immunity, boost growth performance, and strengthen fish from the inside out.

Expanding feed portfolio

The launch of STELLA P follows another major product introduction earlier this year. In April, Skretting Vietnam rolled out STELLA CH, a specialised line of feed for trout, during an event in Sa Pa that attracted cold-water fish farmers from northern provinces.

At the gathering, company experts shared insights on optimal trout nutrition, disease prevention, and strategies to enhance productivity. 

Farmers were also given practical solutions tailored to their production challenges, with a focus on sustainability, safety, and long-term profitability. 

STELLA CH was formulated using Skretting’s global expertise in trout diets, ensuring fast growth, high digestibility, and strong feed conversion, while meeting strict quality standards to prevent contaminants.

Strengthening operations in Vietnam

Skretting Vietnam’s product launches build on significant investments in the country’s aquaculture sector. In 2022, the company inaugurated a €24 million, fully automated fish feed factory in Long An province, with an annual production capacity of 100,000 tonnes. 

The facility, its second in Vietnam, was designed to meet growing demand across the Mekong Delta and other key farming provinces, relieving pressure on existing plants already operating at full capacity.

Skretting has been present in Vietnam since 2010, when it acquired Tomboy Aquafeed JSC, a respected domestic feed producer. 

Since then, the company has steadily expanded its portfolio to include feed solutions for multiple species, backed by complementary services and technologies aimed at improving farmer productivity and sustainability.
