NIRSAL’s Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Sa’ad Hamidu, said the training marks the start of a nationwide effort to modernise livestock rearing and meat processing practices in Nigeria.

The project aims to boost local fish production by enhancing access to finance for smallholder fish farmers.

The delegation’s primary objective was to understand how Tanzania has managed to boost productivity, expand meat exports, and strengthen its livestock health infrastructure.

The hub aims to produce 50 million fingerlings, 2,000 tonnes of ready-to-eat fish, 20,000 tonnes of processed fish, and 24,000 tonnes of fish feed annually.
