Eight GMP-grade vitamins will be distributed globally through Brenntag’s new BYPHAR powered by Biond platform, including across MEA.

GLOBAL – Brenntag and dsm-firmenich have signed a global distribution agreement and long-term strategic partnership to expand access to high-purity, GMP-grade vitamins for biopharmaceutical manufacturing, including across the Middle East and Africa.
The agreement gives Brenntag exclusive distribution rights for dsm-firmenich’s Biond portfolio across North America, Latin America, Europe, MEA and Asia-Pacific.
The products will be marketed under the new co-brand BYPHAR powered by Biond. Biond is a portfolio of high-purity pharmaceutical-grade vitamins designed for cell culture media and biologics manufacturing.
The vitamins support applications including the production of biologics, vaccines and cell therapies, where consistent cell growth and performance are critical.
Eight products will be available in multiple pack sizes, covering niacinamide (B3), folic acid (B9), cyanocobalamin (B12), D-panthenol (B5), thiamine hydrochloride (B1), riboflavin 5’-phosphate (B2), pyridoxine hydrochloride (B6) and D-biotin (B7).
The portfolio is designed for use in cell culture media, feed media and upstream bioprocessing. Brenntag said the offering combines GMP-grade quality, multi-compendial compliance, flexible packaging for R&D through to commercial production, and global supply and technical support.
The partnership expands Brenntag’s biopharma ingredients portfolio while giving dsm-firmenich access to Brenntag’s established global distribution network. The companies have worked together for more than 30 years.
“With this partnership, we significantly expand our global biopharma portfolio and reinforce our ability to support customers who depend on stable, quality-assured raw materials,” said Gust Desmedt, global president, Pharma at Brenntag.
“BYPHAR powered by Biond reflects a shared commitment to quality, reliability, and secure supply for critical upstream processes,” Desmedt added.
Fernanda Onofre, director of global marketing and business development, Pharma Biologics Solutions at dsm-firmenich, said Biond was developed in response to the growing requirements of biologics manufacturers for high-purity raw materials, quality assurance, supply reliability and technical expertise.
“Our partnership with Brenntag Pharma combines complementary strengths to deliver a dedicated offering for biopharmaceutical applications under the BYPHAR brand, helping customers move forward with greater confidence and control,” Onofre said.
The BYPHAR powered by Biond portfolio will be presented at CPHI Milan, running from 6–8 October, with the public launch taking place at Brenntag’s booth.
