BioMar Sagun now has the ability to supply ASC-conforming feed solutions across the country and other key export markets.

TÜRKIYE – BioMar Sagun, a joint-venture between BioMar Group and Turkish Group Sagun, has achieved Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) Feed Certification, strengthening BioMar’s ability to supply ASC-conforming feed solutions to aquaculture producers in Türkiye and key export markets.
The certification marks the latest addition to BioMar’s growing network of ASC-certified production facilities and supports the company’s efforts to meet increasing demand for certified seafood across global markets.
As more seafood producers pursue ASC certification, access to compliant feed has become a critical requirement throughout the aquaculture value chain.
The ASC Feed Standard establishes requirements covering environmental responsibility, social and labour rights, health and safety, and responsible sourcing, while promoting transparency and traceability in feed production.
Supporting certified seafood production
According to BioMar, the certification enables BioMar Sagun to provide feed solutions that align with recognised sustainability standards and help customers maintain compliance with ASC certification requirements.
“Achieving this certification reflects the dedication of our team and our commitment to supporting customers with feed solutions aligned with recognised industry standards,” said Yasemin Issever, Managing Director at BioMar Sagun.
“It strengthens our ability to serve producers in Turkey and the wider export markets while supporting their certification ambitions.”
The certification is particularly significant for producers targeting international markets, where retailers and consumers are increasingly demanding seafood produced under verified sustainability standards.
By expanding the availability of ASC-conforming feed, BioMar aims to support responsible sourcing practices while helping aquaculture producers strengthen market access and meet evolving customer expectations.
BioMar has continued to expand its global ASC-certified manufacturing footprint in recent years, with certified facilities already operating in Chile, Ecuador, Spain, Costa Rica, Norway, Denmark, France and the United Kingdom.
The addition of BioMar Sagun further strengthens the company’s certified feed network and increases regional access to sustainable aquaculture feed solutions, supporting producers seeking to supply ASC-certified seafood to domestic and export markets.
