The eight newly launched ingredients include soy protein isolates, soy protein concentrates, textured soy proteins, and pea flour

GLOBAL – ADM has expanded its protein innovation portfolio with the launch of eight new soy and pea protein ingredients across North America and Europe, reinforcing its strategy to meet rising global demand for diverse, functional and sustainable protein sources.
The company said the new product range is designed to support food manufacturers in developing high-protein applications across meat alternatives, dairy substitutes, bakery products, snacks and specialised nutrition formats, as consumers increasingly seek varied protein intake linked to health, lifestyle and sustainability concerns.
ADM noted that globally, 66% of consumers are actively looking to increase protein consumption, while 86% believe protein should come from a wider variety of sources, driving strong growth in plant-based proteins such as soy and pea.
“Protein is one of the most dynamic areas of nutrition, with consumers now asking for more variety, functionality and choices than ever before,” said Greg Dodson, Vice President, Protein, North America, ADM.
“With new ingredient introductions and expanding capabilities in facilities across the globe, ADM is uniquely positioned to not only meet that demand at scale, but to also help shape the future of protein innovation.”
New soy and pea protein solutions introduced
The eight newly launched ingredients include soy protein isolates, soy protein concentrates, textured soy proteins, and pea flour, designed for a wide range of food applications:
• ProFam® 883 – soy protein isolate for smooth, high-protein beverages and powders
• ProFam® 894 – soy protein isolate designed for dairy alternatives such as yoghurt and drinks
• Arcon® IH – functional soy protein concentrate for meat applications, including ham and pork products
• Arcon® SB – soy protein concentrate for sausages, meatballs and ground meat applications
• Arcon® 412 – cost-effective soy protein concentrate for deli meats and poultry products
• Pea Flour – allergen-friendly, gluten-free ingredient with neutral taste and added fibre for bakery and cereal uses
• European-sourced Arcon® R – versatile soy protein concentrate for extrusion, bakery and meat applications
• European-sourced Arcon® T – textured soy protein concentrates for meat extensions and plant-based alternatives
ADM said the expansion reflects growing demand for regionally sourced, functional protein ingredients that can deliver improved texture, taste and nutritional performance while supporting scalable production.
Strengthening regional protein innovation capacity
The company highlighted its long-standing role in plant protein development, tracing its innovation history back to the 1960s, when it introduced textured vegetable protein (TVP).
Today, ADM continues to expand its soy and pea portfolio to support global food system transformation.
The company said its strategy is focused on delivering tailored solutions across regions, including Europe, the Middle East and Africa, North America and South America, with production and innovation hubs supporting localised supply chains.
“By expanding our protein portfolio, we’re giving customers more precise, functional solutions that will perform across a wide range of applications,” said Tony Payne, Senior Director, Creation, Design and Development at ADM.
“This is about delivering choice, and giving consumers access to protein sources that are backed by decades of plant-based expertise and global innovation.”
He added that ADM’s global network of innovation centres, including facilities in the United States, the Netherlands, Serbia and Brazil, enables the company to develop and deliver region-specific protein solutions at scale.
ADM said the new launches will help manufacturers improve formulation efficiency while meeting consumer expectations for taste, nutrition and sustainability in both plant-based and hybrid food systems.
