Indo Livestock 2026 Expo to spotlight feed, innovation and investment in Indonesia

The exhibition is expected to attract over 600 exhibitors from 40 countries, including 12 country pavilions, and more than 20,000 visitors.

INDONESIA – The 19th edition of the Indo Livestock Expo & Forum 2026 is set to take place from June 16-18 at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE) in Tangerang, bringing together global stakeholders to accelerate the development of the feed, livestock, and downstream industries.

Organised by PT Napindo Media Ashatama and hosted by Indonesia’s Ministry of Agriculture, the event will focus on strengthening food security, advancing animal protein production and unlocking investment across the livestock value chain.

Held alongside Indo Feed, Indo Dairy, Indo Agrotech, Indo Vet and Indo Fisheries, the exhibition is expected to attract over 600 exhibitors from 40 countries, including 12 country pavilions, and more than 20,000 visitors, positioning it as one of Asia’s leading platforms for the livestock and feed industries.

Feed and downstream sectors in focus

The 2026 edition comes at a time when Indonesia’s livestock sector is showing strong production performance, particularly in poultry.

National egg output reached 6.52 million tonnes in 2025, exceeding demand of 6.22 million tonnes, while broiler meat production is estimated at 4.2 million tonnes, compared to demand of 3.86 million tonnes.

This surplus is shifting industry focus toward downstream processing and feed efficiency, as stakeholders look to convert volume into higher-value products and improve margins.

Feed remains central to this transition.

As production scales, demand for high-quality, efficient feed solutions continues to rise, making innovation in feed formulation, raw materials and technology a key theme across the exhibition.

The event will feature technical product presentations, business matchmaking sessions and industry forums aimed at improving productivity, strengthening supply chains and supporting investment across feed and livestock systems.

New programmes and industry engagement

A major highlight of the 2026 edition is the introduction of the Indo Livestock Grand Championship, a new livestock competition focusing on cattle and sheep.

The initiative aims to promote superior genetics, improve production standards and encourage knowledge exchange among producers.

The event will also host Youth Farmers Day under the theme “From Farm to Fame,” targeting young entrepreneurs, startups, and next-generation farmers.

Complementing this is the Farmpreneurship Zone, which showcases scalable livestock business models and investment-ready opportunities.

These programmes reflect a broader push to modernise the sector, encourage innovation and support industry regeneration.

Strategic role in food security and investment

Indonesia’s livestock sector is increasingly positioned as a pillar of national development, supporting food security and economic growth.

Strengthening downstream industries, particularly feed, processing and distribution, is seen as essential to improving farmer incomes, stabilising markets and enhancing competitiveness.

The exhibition aligns with Indonesia’s long-term vision for food security and human capital development, including efforts to increase access to high-quality animal protein.

Since its launch in 2002, Indo Livestock has evolved into a key meeting point for producers, feed manufacturers, investors and policymakers, facilitating partnerships and technology transfer across the region.

With growing global interest in Southeast Asia’s livestock and feed markets, Indo Livestock 2026 is expected to serve as a critical platform for investment, innovation and collaboration, reinforcing Indonesia’s role in the regional and global animal protein industry.
