The new facility aims to strengthen food security and modern animal nutrition in Southeast Asia.

SINGAPORE – Guangdong Haid Group Co., Ltd., China’s largest aquaculture feed producer, has launched its new production and R&D facility in Singapore, a move expected to enhance livestock and aquaculture production across Southeast Asia.
The facility, named Haid Singapore, reinforces the company’s commitment to high-quality feed, innovation, and regional food security.
Supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), Haid Singapore will focus on three main goals. First, it will adapt Haid’s latest R&D achievements to local markets, ensuring products meet regional needs.
Second, it will implement full traceability in sourcing and production, adhering to international safety and quality standards. Third, it will build partnerships with suppliers and stakeholders across Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region, driving sustainable growth in the livestock and aquaculture sectors.
“Singapore’s outstanding business environment, robust legal framework, rich talent pool, and global connectivity align seamlessly with Haid Group’s vision of globalisation, professionalism, and high quality. Haid Singapore will serve as a manufacturing centre supporting our Southeast Asian and global operations, enabling swifter and more reliable response to the needs of our overseas business units,” said Dr. Qian Xueqiao, Vice President of Haid Group.
“With the strong support of the Singapore government, the trust of our partners, and the dedication of the Haid Singapore team, we are confident that Haid Singapore will become a model in the industry, contributing to regional food safety and the modernisation of agriculture and animal husbandry,” he added.
Lim Wey-Len, Executive Vice President of EDB, welcomed the investment, stating, “Haid’s investment strengthens Singapore’s capabilities in high-value animal and aquafeed production. We welcome more like-minded companies to leverage Singapore’s integrated manufacturing, R&D, and collaborative ecosystem to develop solutions that support the evolving needs of the regional agrifood sector.”
The new facility will create jobs in nutrition science, production and engineering, quality and safety, and logistics. Haid Singapore will continue following the group’s mission of “Advancing Agriculture through Technology,” upholding high standards in food safety and environmental care while participating actively in the local industrial ecosystem.
Strong performance in 2025
Haid Group recorded a strong performance in the first half of 2025, with net profits attributable to shareholders expected to reach between US$348.6 million and US$390.5 million (CNY 2.5–2.8 billion).
This represents a year-on-year growth of 17.6% to 31.8%, driven largely by rising exports and the expansion of core feed operations both in China and abroad.
The company sold approximately 13.7 million metric tons of feed in the first six months, up 2.84 million tons from the same period the previous year. About 40% of this increase came from international markets, highlighting Haid’s focus on global growth.
Higher sales helped improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen the company’s competitiveness.
“The impressive performance was primarily driven by the expansion of our core feed business both domestically and internationally,” the company said in a statement. “In China, we steadily improved feed production capacity utilisation and gained market share. Overseas growth has also reinforced our position as a leading global aquafeed producer.”
