Alapala Holding appoints DEPART General Manager Cengiz Tiryakioğlu to Board of Directors

Tiryakioğlu’s extensive knowledge, leadership, and sectoral expertise are expected to add significant value to Alapala Holding’s sustainable growth objectives.

TURKIYE – Alapala Holding, a global leader in grain milling, feed and pasta processing technologies, has announced the appointment of Cengiz Tiryakioğlu, general manager of DEPART and AB Industries, to its Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2026.

The move reflects Alapala’s strategic emphasis on strengthening governance and integrating operational expertise into high-level decision-making.

Tiryakioğlu’s elevation to the board expands his leadership remit beyond his operational roles at two key group entities: DEPART, the company’s specialist in spare parts sales and after-sales services for the milling sector, and AB Industries, focused on industrial automation systems.

His appointment is expected to bring a deep understanding of technical service, customer support, and industrial automation trends into strategic planning discussions at the holding level.

Since joining the Alapala Group in 2016 as general manager of DEPART, Tiryakioğlu has developed the company’s global service network and extended its market presence through strategic partnerships and service innovations.

Under his leadership, DEPART has broadened its business scope with extended offerings, including laboratory and process technology collaborations such as the recent solution partnership with Austrian analytical instrumentation specialist Anton Paar, aimed at integrating high-precision testing solutions into its service portfolio.

Alapala Holding’s board already includes seasoned industry figures such as İsmail Alapala (Chairman) and Görkem Alapala (CEO & Vice Chairman), with responsibilities covering corporate vision, global strategy, and operational oversight.

Tiryakioğlu’s appointment adds a business operations perspective at the board level, linking frontline technical execution with governance functions.

For Alapala, this board expansion arrives as the company sustains momentum from robust global project activity.

Alapala’s global footprint extends to more than 1,000 delivered turnkey projects in over 120 countries, anchored by an emphasis on quality, automation, and sustainability that has positioned it among Turkey’s top exporters in grain milling technologies.

In 2024, the holding completed 23 turnkey projects in 14 countries, supporting flour, feed, and pasta producers with comprehensive solutions that integrate engineering, automation, and after-sales services.
