The Sanders brand will now be produced locally in Egypt under CPC’s stewardship, using premixes supplied exclusively by MiXscience.
EGYPT – Cairo Poultry Company (CPC) has entered into a strategic franchising agreement with French agro-industrial giant Avril Group and its subsidiaries, MiXscience and Sanders Nutrition animale.
The agreement, signed this week in Rennes, France, grants CPC and its affiliate, Cairo Feed Company, exclusive rights to manufacture, market, and distribute Sanders and Golden Horse-branded animal feed across Egypt and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
The partnership aims to introduce cutting-edge nutritional solutions tailored to the specific needs of the Middle East, bolstering food security, sustainability, and economic development in the region.
This new agreement blends France’s expertise in animal nutrition with Egypt’s expanding agricultural capacity.
The Sanders brand, a household name in French animal nutrition, will now be produced locally in Egypt under CPC’s stewardship, using premixes supplied exclusively by MiXscience,a veteran producer of animal nutrition solutions.
The agreement goes beyond product licensing, incorporating ongoing technical support, audits, quality control measures, and personalised staff training, ensuring premium standards across all operations.
The initiative is not only expected to elevate standards within Egypt’s feed sector but also position the country as a regional hub for premium animal nutrition products, with the potential to double sales and extend reach throughout the Middle East and beyond.
Representatives from both nations were present to witness the historic signing. Dignitaries from the Egyptian Embassy in France, including Mr. Sayed Fouad, Head of the Commercial Office, and Mr. Ahmed El-Shafie, Third Secretary, attended the event in a show of support for the growing bilateral relationship between Egypt and France.
“This agreement enables the local production of high-quality animal feed formulas by leveraging Avril’s nutritional expertise and CPC’s industrial capabilities,” said Mr. Sayed Fouad.
The announcement comes at a time when the presidents of both countries, Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and Emmanuel Macron, are strengthening diplomatic and economic ties.
“It’s about connecting Egypt and France, vision and opportunity, today’s ambitions and tomorrow’s successes,” the partners declared.
The agreement aligns with Egypt’s broader strategy to attract foreign investment and promote its status as a gateway market.
“I invite French companies to enter into strategic partnerships with their Egyptian counterparts… to benefit from the large Egyptian market and to take Egypt as a regional hub to increase French exports,” Sayed Fouad emphasised.
