IAOM Eurasia 2026 to connect global milling industry in Tashkent

ASIA – The fifth IAOM Eurasia Conference & Expo will bring together grain millers, flour producers, technology suppliers and allied industry stakeholders in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on September 28-29, 2026, as the regional milling industry looks to strengthen collaboration, technology adoption and international trade.

Held at the InterContinental Tashkent, the two-day event is designed to advance education, technology and international cooperation across the grain, flour, pasta, wheat and feed sectors. 

It will provide a platform for industry professionals to exchange knowledge, explore new technologies and build connections across one of the world’s major grain-producing regions.

Why Tashkent?

IAOM Eurasia represents 32 countries with more than 2 billion people and a combined economy of about US$7.1 trillion. 

The region includes major wheat producers and flour exporters such as Russia, Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Ukraine and the European Union, making it strategically important to global grain and flour supply chains.

Uzbekistan has been selected as the 2026 host because of its growing importance as a regional milling and flour hub. 

The country’s milling industry supplies the domestic market and exports flour to neighbouring countries, with wheat sourced largely from Kazakhstan.

The event is expected to attract participants from Central and Eastern Europe, the Baltics, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Central Asia and the Caucasus, alongside delegates from the US, Middle East and Africa.

Technology and industry connections

The exhibition will bring together milling machinery manufacturers, laboratory equipment suppliers, grain traders, ingredient companies, packaging businesses, grain storage specialists, yeast and bakery companies, industrial bakers, research institutions and universities.

IAOM, which has a 130-year history, operates as a professional association supporting education, training, technology exchange and networking within the grain milling industry.

The Tashkent gathering will also form part of IAOM’s wider international programme, with the IAOM MEA Conference & Expo 2026 scheduled to take place in South Africa later this year, extending the association’s industry engagement into the African milling market.
