FRANCE – Adisseo has appointed Li Bo as chairman of its Board of Directors and chief executive officer, with the leadership change set to take effect on 1 November 2026.
Li Bo was elected chairman on 11 September 2026 and will succeed Dr Hao Zhigang as CEO, with responsibility for leading Adisseo’s strategy and Executive Leadership Team.
Adisseo is a global animal nutrition and health company and a major producer of feed additives, including methionine and other nutritional solutions used in animal feed.
Dr Hao Zhigang said his successor would build on the company’s transformation and growth during his tenure.
“It has been a privilege to lead Adisseo through an important period of transformation and growth.
I am confident that Li Bo’s leadership, experience, and vision will enable the company to build on its achievements and seize the opportunities ahead,” said Zhigang.
Focus on methionine and feed additives
Li Bo holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering and an Executive MBA and has executive leadership experience across the energy and chemicals sectors.
He most recently served as chairman and president of China National Bluestar, Adisseo’s majority shareholder.
Li said his priorities would include strengthening Adisseo’s position in methionine, developing its Specialties business and transforming its vitamin business.
“I am fully committed to advancing our strategic priorities, reinforcing our leadership in methionine, strengthening Specialties as a key growth pillar, and transforming our vitamin business to create sustainable value,” Li said.
He added that the company would continue investing in innovation, people, and operational excellence while supporting its mission to contribute to a high-quality, affordable, safe, and sustainable food supply.
Adisseo said the leadership transition is intended to support continuity and long-term growth while strengthening the company’s global competitiveness, operational performance, and innovation.
The company also said it would maintain its focus on sustainability and partnerships with customers and other stakeholders across its global animal nutrition business.
