Nestlé Purina launches Friskies wet cat and dog food in Indonesia

INDONESIA – Nestlé Purina’s Friskies brand expanded its pet food portfolio in Indonesia with the launch of Friskies Wet Food for cats and Friskies Dog at the Indonesia International Pet Expo (IIPE) 2026, held September 4-6 at ICE BSD, Tangerang. 

The new products offer nutritional options tailored to pets’ ages, sizes, and life stages.

“IIPE 2026 was the right opportunity for us to introduce Friskies Wet Food and Friskies Dog to Indonesian pet pawrents,” said Hanna Anggiana, marketing manager at Nestlé Purina Petcare. 

“By expanding our portfolio, we hope to support pet pawrents in giving the best care to their beloved companions.”

Friskies Wet Food is available in four varieties, including three for adult cats and one for kittens. 

The products contain protein to support muscle health and energy, as well as vitamins and antioxidants. Their high moisture content also helps support cats’ daily hydration needs.

The Friskies Dog range includes formulations for adult dogs, puppies, and small dogs. 

According to Nestlé Purina, the products provide 100% complete and balanced nutrition in line with AAFCO standards.

They contain real chicken protein, calcium, vitamin D, antioxidants, omega-6, and zinc to support muscle, bone, immune, skin, and coat health. The range has no added artificial colours or preservatives.

Brand showcases new products at IIPE 2026

Friskies presented its expanded portfolio through product displays and interactive activities, including a talk show with Inul Daratista, Purina Friskies Cat brand ambassador.

“ For me, cats are already part of the family, so feeding time is also a special opportunity to bond with them,” Daratista said. 

She added that cats can have different flavour and texture preferences, making variety an important consideration for cat owners.

The brand also engaged with dog owners at the expo. Heng Sofian, a dog owner and representative of the Kota Golden Community, said he considers nutritional value and daily suitability when choosing food for his dog.

“I find it helpful that Purina Friskies Dog offers options for adult dogs, puppies and small dogs with complete and balanced nutrition, to meet my dog’s daily nutritional needs,” he said.

Anggiana said Friskies would continue developing products to meet the different needs of cats and dogs, with the new wet cat food and dog food expanding the brand’s daily nutrition offering in Indonesia.
