Nutrition Technologies rebrands to Sentara Group, launches Diptia Wira biofertiliser

Sentara Group will continue producing insect-based ingredients for the feed and pet food industries and frass-based bioactive organic fertilisers and biostimulants.

MALAYSIA – Nutrition Technologies, an insect-based protein ingredients manufacturer based in Malaysia, has officially rebranded as Sentara Group.

Sentara Group unveiled its rebranding as part of its ongoing transformation, including leadership enhancements and impending changes in ownership.

However, despite the changes, the company reassured stakeholders that its core values of quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction remain steadfast.

Under the new brand, Sentara Group will continue producing insect-based ingredients for the feed and pet food industries and frass-based bioactive organic fertilisers and biostimulants, designed to combat tropical fungal plant diseases and improve soil health.

The company maintains operations at its Control Union-certified biofertiliser facility, ensuring compliance with strict international standards for export to Japan, the EU, Australia, Canada, and the U.S.

Additionally, it continues manufacturing insect meal and dried BSF larvae at its GMP and HACCP-certified plant in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, with full regulatory approval for EU and U.S. markets.

Sentara Group launches Diptia® Wira for sustainable fertilisation

As part of its expanded portfolio, Sentara Group has introduced Diptia® Wira, an advanced biofertiliser composed entirely of BSF frass.

This nutrient-rich byproduct is teeming with beneficial microbes, metabolites, and essential macro- and micronutrients crucial for plant and soil health.

Diptia® Wira is formulated to offer a cost-effective, eco-friendly alternative to chemical fertilizers. Leveraging innovative bioprocessing techniques, including controlled composting and cultivation of beneficial microorganisms, the product ensures optimal nutrient retention and long-term soil fertility.

Unlike conventional biofertilizers, Diptia® Wira is derived from locally sourced agricultural by-products, minimizing reliance on synthetic inputs while enhancing soil structure, water retention, and microbial activity.

Furthermore, the fertiliser stabilises soil pH, creating a more favorable environment for microbial growth and overall soil health.

By providing a sustainable and affordable solution, Sentara Group aims to support farmers in reducing input costs while increasing crop yields and environmental sustainability.

Sentara Group recently delivered the first batch of Diptia® Wira to Humifertilizer Sdn Bhd. The ceremonial handover, held at Sentara’s Seelong plant, saw Managing Director Tan Teck Hock receiving the shipment from Sentara Group Chairman Sugi Sugialam.

This marks a pivotal moment for Sentara Group as we continue our mission of driving sustainable agricultural solutions,” said Sugialam. “We are thrilled to collaborate with industry leaders like Humifertilizer Sdn Bhd to bring innovative, eco-conscious farming products to market.

Sentara Group remains committed to pioneering solutions in the circular economy, leveraging artificial intelligence and cutting-edge biotechnologies to develop sustainable agricultural innovations.

As the company expands its product line and market reach, it aims to play a pivotal role in Malaysia’s food security agenda and the global sustainable agriculture movement.
