Bioiberica expands Nucleoforce range to strengthen animal immunity and gut health

SPAIN – Bioiberica has unveiled a refreshed and expanded Nucleoforce® line, introducing three new functional ingredients designed to support animal immune health, production efficiency, and growth. 

The global life science company announced the launch under a new unified positioning, “Immunity Force, Life Force”, marking what it calls a new era for nucleotide-based nutrition.

The Nucleoforce® range, which has long been a cornerstone in Bioiberica’s animal nutrition portfolio, is being elevated through the introduction of Nucleoforce® Immunity, Nucleoforce® Performance, and Nucleoforce® High Flowability (HF). 

Each product is designed to address specific physiological needs and to meet growing demand for advanced, ethically sourced solutions in animal feed.

“As building blocks of DNA and RNA, nucleotide compounds are fundamental to the function of all life on earth,” the company explained in its announcement. 

“They are especially critical for the proper development of tissues with a high cell replication rate, such as those of the immune and intestinal systems, and during periods of rapid development or stress.”

Originally, the Nucleoforce® line consisted of three yeast-derived concentrates formulated to help fish, crustaceans, livestock, and pets overcome stress, malnutrition, or developmental challenges. 

The latest additions build on that foundation, offering tailored benefits for immune resilience, enhanced productivity, and efficient growth.

Research reveals synergistic benefits

The expansion comes as the animal nutrition industry gains deeper insight into the pivotal role of nucleotides in health and development. 

Bioiberica’s research and development team recently conducted two new studies, awaiting publication, on farmed Pacific white shrimp (PWS). 

The findings demonstrated that supplementing shrimp feed with Nucleoforce® significantly improved growth performance.

Even more promising were the results when Nucleoforce® was combined with bioactive compounds such as seaweed meal (SWM) and olive extract (OE). 

According to the company, these combinations not only enhanced growth outcomes but also increased shrimp resistance to bacterial infection, drastically boosting survival rates.

“The potential unlocked by our team’s cutting-edge research is incredibly exciting,” said Xavier Garcia, Business Unit Director Animal Health & Plant Health at Bioiberica. 

“Not only do these studies demonstrate the powerful immune- and development-supporting performance we expect from Nucleoforce®, but for the first time, we can see how its effects can be further enhanced in the presence of additional bioactive compounds.”

Garcia added that Bioiberica is planning further research to explore similar synergistic effects in other animal species.
