A highlight of the exhibition will be the Dairy Innovations Hub, where processors will present their latest product innovations to buyers, distributors and investors.

KENYA – Set for February 25 to 27, 2026, the Africa Dairy Innovations Summit 2026 will take centre stage at the Argyle Grand Hotel, featuring a three-day conference and exhibition as its core highlight.
Organised by FW Africa, the summit is expected to bring together more than 2,000 stakeholders across the dairy value chain, including farmers, processors, policymakers, researchers, suppliers, financiers and development partners.
The event promises a combination of technical sessions, exhibitions, networking opportunities and policy discussions designed to accelerate the growth of Africa’s dairy industry.
According to a report by the organisers, the summit will be delivered in a hybrid format, allowing participants to attend in person or join virtually from anywhere in the world.
The Nairobi venue will host the main conference, exhibitions and face-to-face networking sessions, while the virtual platform will extend access to delegates across the continent.
An extensive program
The program will feature over 50 speakers and more than 20 technical masterclasses covering critical areas such as sustainable milk production, feed and animal nutrition, processing technologies, automation, packaging solutions, cold-chain management and digital innovations.
In a statement, the organisers explained that the agenda has been carefully designed to address the pressing challenges facing the dairy sector.
“Delegates will benefit from insights into improving efficiency, product quality and profitability while tapping into emerging market opportunities,” one official said.
A particular focus will be given to consumer-driven trends, with sessions exploring the rise of lactose-free milk, plant-based dairy alternatives, organic products, fortified dairy beverages and value-added lines such as cheese, yoghurt, ice cream and dairy-based snacks.
CEO & policy roundtable
The organisers confirmed that a high-level CEO & Policy Roundtable will serve as a flagship feature of the summit.
This closed-door session will bring together chief executives, government ministers and donor representatives to deliberate on strategies that can transform the industry.
Discussions are expected to cover cross-border trade within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), financing mechanisms for smallholder farmers, regulatory reforms and market incentives that could unlock new investment.
One senior official involved in the planning noted that the roundtable will be “a unique platform for dialogue between industry leaders and policymakers, with the aim of creating practical pathways that support competitiveness, food security and regional trade.”
Exhibition and dairy innovations hub
Alongside the conference program, the exhibition will showcase a wide range of solutions and technologies for the dairy industry.
Participants will interact with providers of milking systems, laboratory instruments, feed supplements, animal health products, cold storage solutions, processing and packaging machinery, automation systems and renewable energy technologies tailored to dairy operations.
A highlight of the exhibition will be the Dairy Innovations Hub, a dedicated space where processors will present their latest product innovations to buyers, distributors and investors.
According to the organisers, the hub is designed to spotlight brands that are introducing new product categories or enhancing existing lines to meet the evolving demands of consumers across Africa and international markets.
Networking and business opportunities
The summit will also provide multiple platforms for business engagement. Structured networking lounges, curated one-on-one meetings, and informal evening events are planned to ensure participants can connect with potential partners.
An organiser remarked that “beyond the knowledge sessions, this summit is about building business linkages. Whether it’s a joint venture, a new distribution agreement or a financing deal, the opportunities for collaboration will be significant.”
With stakeholders drawn from different parts of Africa and beyond, the event is expected to generate cross-border partnerships that can accelerate trade and investment in the sector.
A timely gathering for Africa’s dairy sector
The Africa Dairy Innovations Summit 2026 comes at a time when the continent’s dairy industry is undergoing transformation.
Rising consumer demand, advances in technology and growing regional integration present opportunities for expansion, but challenges such as productivity gaps, post-harvest losses, financing constraints and climate impacts remain.
By combining technical sessions, a policy roundtable, an exhibition of solutions and networking forums, the summit aims to serve as a catalyst for unlocking the sector’s potential.
