Additionally, Petfood Forum Asia 2025 is scheduled for 29 October 2025, held in conjunction with Pet Fair South East Asia 2025.

THAILAND – A comprehensive three-day conference will headline Pet Fair South East Asia 2025, which takes place from October 29 to 31 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC).
Organised by VNU Asia Pacific and Globus Events, the event will bring together the global pet industry for one of the region’s most important gatherings, combining a robust knowledge-sharing program with a trade show featuring 450 exhibitors.
Now less than a month away, the event highlights Thailand’s, and by extension Southeast Asia’s, emerging position as a vital hub in the global pet economy.
Central to that ambition is the conference program, which will feature more than 40 sessions across two stages.
Covering themes such as market trends, product innovation, and business growth strategies, the program is expected to be one of the fair’s defining features.
Significantly, all in-hall sessions are free to registered attendees, ensuring that knowledge and expertise are accessible to the widest possible audience.
Exploring the future of the pet industry
The conference program will address a wide range of themes reflecting both global opportunities and regional challenges. The breadth of topics reflects the diversity of challenges and opportunities shaping the pet sector.
One session will spotlight global health goals with a discussion on rabies elimination by 2030, underlining the industry’s role in supporting public health. Another will examine the growth potential of Thailand’s ornamental aquatic pets production, highlighting the country’s position as a leading exporter in this niche yet globally significant market.
Competition within the pet food industry will also be explored in a session titled “Pet Food War: Is There Still Room for Small Players?”, which is expected to resonate with local and international producers navigating a consolidating marketplace.
Other technical presentations will dig into the science of nutrition and product development. A session on insects in pet food will evaluate the sustainability and nutritional potential of alternative proteins.
Researchers will share findings on the performance of feed additives in nutrient digestion and absorption using dynamic in vitro digestion models, providing practical applications for pet food formulation.
Future-oriented themes will also be on the agenda, including innovations in pet food that bridge research, sustainability, and commercialisation.
Consumer trends are not left out, with one presentation set to compare freeze-dried raw food with traditional kibble for dogs and cats, reflecting the growing debate between convenience and nutrition in pet diets.
These sessions, among others, will equip participants with insights into public health issues, production efficiency, and consumer trends shaping the industry’s future.
Petfood Forum Asia returns
While the main conference is open to all attendees, a more specialised program will take place on October 29 with the return of Petfood Forum Asia.
Organised by WATT Global Media, the one-day seminar will provide a concentrated focus on ingredient solutions, processing techniques, and packaging innovations that are reshaping the pet food sector.
Designed for manufacturers, processors, and suppliers, the forum will serve as a technical deep dive into the challenges and opportunities of producing high-quality, sustainable products for the Asian market.
Networking and beyond
Beyond the conference halls, Pet Fair South East Asia will again feature two evening networking events designed to foster high-level business connections in more relaxed settings.
The first, on October 29, will take place inside the exhibition hall, while the Skybar Rooftop Networking Night on October 30 will offer striking skyline views.
For the first time, rooftop event tickets will also be available to visitors, expanding opportunities to connect under the Bangkok night sky.
As in previous years, the show is expected to draw thousands of participants who combine business with leisure in one of the world’s most visited cities.
With its combination of trade opportunities, cutting-edge knowledge exchange, and meaningful networking, Pet Fair South East Asia 2025 is positioning itself as a vital meeting point for the future of the global pet industry.
