With Lore™, dsm-firmenich aims to help dairy farmers harness the power of artificial intelligence to make smarter, faster, and more sustainable decisions.

BRAZIL – dsm-firmenich recently launched Lore™, a new artificial intelligence module designed to support dairy farm management, during Agroleite 2025 in Castro, Paraná, Brazil.
The four-day event, held from August 5–8 in the country’s “National Capital of Milk,” provided the stage for the global nutrition and health company to introduce its latest innovation in precision farming.
“With Lore™, we are delivering a practical and powerful technology to dairy producers, capable of transforming data into decisions. It is a tool that simplifies routines, saves time, and enhances results,” said Vanessa Porto, Director of Precision Farming at dsm-firmenich.
A leap forward for dairy precision farming
The Lore™ module, integrated with the widely used FarmTell™ Milk platform, leverages artificial intelligence to monitor milk production, animal health, fertility, and welfare while predicting potential problems before they arise.
The tool centralizes critical indicators such as fat and protein content, somatic cell count, mastitis occurrence, and even heat stress, offering daily alerts and recommendations to farmers.
“dsm-firmenich was already a pioneer in developing Lore™, an artificial intelligence algorithm focused on beef cattle, which quickly became an ally for ranchers, farm managers, and farmhands.
Now, we are taking a new step by bringing this technology to the dairy chain, offering an unprecedented solution that simplifies daily routines in the field and supports more precise decisions at all stages of production,” explained Luiz F. Magalhães, President of Animal Nutrition and Health for Latin America.
The company says Lore™ was developed through close collaboration with producers and industry specialists, and it underwent testing on more than 10 dairy farms in Brazil over six months before its launch. FarmTell™ Milk already serves more than 15,000 farms worldwide, including 5,000 in Brazil, with 17,000 active users and nearly 900,000 cows registered.
Expanding solutions for nutrition and sustainability
Beyond the AI launch, dsm-firmenich showcased its broader portfolio of animal nutrition and health solutions at its permanent house in Castro’s exhibition park.
Highlights included the Bovigold® line of supplements tailored for different dairy herd stages, recently expanded with Bovigold® Digest, Bovigold® Guard, and Victus® Thermo.
The company also presented Mycofix®, a feed additive that neutralizes mycotoxins through adsorption, biotransformation, and bioprotection, safeguarding herds against productivity losses and health risks.
In addition, it reinforced the role of Bovaer®, an additive proven to reduce enteric methane emissions in dairy cattle by up to 45%, aligning milk production with climate sustainability goals.
“The dairy chain is experiencing a challenging moment that increasingly demands efficiency, predictability, and intelligent use of information. dsm-firmenich is committed to supporting producers with complete solutions ranging from nutrition to technology, including management, health, and sustainability,” said Marcelo Machado, Dairy Manager for Latin America.
Commitment to innovation with purpose
For dsm-firmenich, Agroleite 2025 was more than a product showcase. Visitors could interact with the Lore™ platform through an interactive totem, participate in an AI quiz, and access exclusive contracting conditions.
The company also staged visual activations and provided a technical team to guide producers through the new system’s functionality.“For us, Agroleite is a strategic and symbolic event. Being here, in our home, bringing an unprecedented technology, an artificial intelligence 100% focused on dairy production, reinforces our commitment to delivering innovation with purpose for the field,” said Magalhães.
