Now available across the U.S., IFF’s advanced pet care solutions aim to help manufacturers meet consumer expectations with cleaner labels, enhanced efficacy, and sustainable production methods.

USA – International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (IFF), a global leader in bioscience innovation, has expanded its pet care portfolio with a series of new science-backed solutions targeting odour control, hydration, gut health, and overall pet well-being.
The announcement was made at the recently concluded Petfood Forum, held April 28–30 at the Kansas Convention Centre, where IFF showcased its latest technologies to industry stakeholders.
The new products are designed to meet the rising demand for healthier, more sustainable pet care, empowering brands to elevate their offerings with proven functional benefits.
“We’re excited to bring our world-class bioscience into the pet wellness space,” said Dr. Jordon Gruber, Companion Animal Technical Leader, Health & Biosciences at IFF.
“Our new portfolio empowers brands to tackle key challenges, delivering standout products that enhance pet health and wellness in a competitive marketplace. From improving gut health and dental care to hydration and reducing odours, we are setting a new benchmark.”
At the core of the launch are two flagship products. Microsource™ CA is a microbiome-enhancing solution designed for cat litter management, reducing fecal ammonia odors by four times within seven days, without the use of harsh chemicals.
Betafin® Pet, a natural betaine, supports hydration, gut health, and general wellness for both dogs and cats.
“This launch is more than the products; it’s about transforming the way we approach pet wellness,” said Brett Volmert, Senior Marketing Leader for Pets in North America, Food Ingredients at IFF.
“Pet parents are increasingly focused on their pets’ health, and manufacturers require innovative, science-backed solutions, and a good understanding of functionality to meet this demand.”
IFF’s new pet solutions are supported by a network of specialised research facilities, including the Pet Translational Research Lab in Wilmington, Delaware; the Pet Enzymes Lab in Brabrand, Denmark; and the Pet Applications Lab in New Century, Kansas.
These centres play a crucial role in validating the performance of IFF’s innovations, integrating clinical science with real-world applications.
The expanded portfolio also includes enzymes, probiotics, plant proteins, food protection technologies, natural colours, and proprietary flavour systems.
IFF integrates these components into a unified platform, reflecting its deep expertise across both human and animal wellness.
Now available across the U.S., IFF’s advanced pet care solutions aim to help manufacturers meet consumer expectations with cleaner labels, enhanced efficacy, and sustainable production methods, solidifying IFF’s position at the forefront of companion animal innovation.
