Amlan expands reach in Northern Brazil with VetPro partnership to boost animal health solutions

BRAZIL – In a strategic move to strengthen its presence in Brazil’s rapidly growing animal health sector, Amlan International, a subsidiary of Oil-Dri Corporation of America, has entered a distribution partnership with VetPro, a rising player in Northern Brazil’s feed industry.

Through this collaboration, VetPro will deliver Amlan’s flagship feed additives, Calibrin-Z and Varium, to poultry and livestock producers across the Northeast region, expanding Amlan’s footprint in Latin America.

The partnership marks a significant milestone in Amlan’s regional growth strategy, as Brazil’s animal nutrition industry produced a record 81.1 million metric tons of feed in 2022.

The alliance combines Amlan’s advanced, mineral-based feed additives—renowned for enhancing animal health—with VetPro’s extensive distribution network and knowledge of the Northeast Brazilian market.

Dr Robin Jarquin, Amlan’s Regional Director for Latin America, expressed optimism about the partnership, saying, “VetPro’s understanding of the market and dedication to the industry aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver top-quality solutions that help protein producers achieve optimal results.”

Under the new distribution arrangement, VetPro will promote and distribute Calibrin-Z and Varium to address some of Brazil’s livestock sector’s most pressing health challenges. Calibrin-Z, which offers broad-spectrum protection against mycotoxins, provides a crucial shield against harmful toxins affecting animal health and productivity.

In contrast, Varium is engineered to strengthen the intestinal barrier, boosting gut health and, in turn, improving overall productivity and efficiency for poultry and livestock operations.

By integrating these feed additives, Amlan and VetPro aim to equip producers with effective tools for enhancing animal welfare, achieving operational efficiency, and ensuring sustainable growth in Northern Brazil.

VetPro’s Co-Owner and Commercial Director, Raul Ferreira, emphasised the potential of this partnership to enhance the quality and performance of animal health products in the region, saying, “Amlan’s innovative products, particularly Calibrin-Z and Varium, align with our vision of delivering premium feed solutions to our customers.”

His partner, Matheus Costa, VetPro’s Co-Owner and Technical Director, added, “We are also confident that the quality of Amlan’s products and the technical support they provide will bring substantial benefits to our region’s producers, helping them elevate their standards and strengthen animal performance.”

Amlan’s partnership with VetPro underscores its commitment to advancing animal health in Brazil, a nation recognised for its vast agricultural landscape and robust livestock sector.
